- For daring to incorporate an animal into the show in the form of four-legged, waggly-tailed superstar! Not only did Minnie steal the hearts of the audience as Bruiser Woods, this pup was trained and rehearsed to the point where she integrated perfectly into scenes. The presence of a real, live dog enhanced the show – a particular highlight was Minnie barking on command in the opening scene. Congratulations to dog trainer Nicci Torres whose hard-work ensured Minnie was stage-ready and the directorial team for crafting stage directions that would work with an animal. It is commendable that the team at Loyola College succeeded in pulling off the challenge of working with an animal cast member with such success.
