Many companies have already made a great start to the year
with some great productions and concerts. It is good to have a
spread of shows, and well done to those companies.
However I am also aware of a number of alterations and
inclusions of dialogue and songs from films with in some of these
show. I assume all companies gained permission from the
appropriate agents in order to do this. It is a part of the copyright
law.
If you are in doubt what is allowable with in your performing rights
agreement you need to contact and discuss it with the appropriate agents.
