At the 2006 Annual General Meeting the member companies were treated to a powerful presentation by Clare McAlaney on marketing  and how this as seen by big business can be transferred and applied to Non Professional musical companies trying to keep their product and brand ahead of the competition.

Many at the meeting asked for a copy of the PowerPoint presentation.

COPYRIGHT???

Many companies have already made a great start to the  year with some great productions and concerts. It is good to have a spread of shows, and well done to those companies. 
However I am also aware of  a number of alterations and inclusions of dialogue and songs from films with in some of these show. I assume all companies  gained permission from the appropriate agents  in order to do this. It is a part of the copyright law.
If you are in doubt what is allowable with in your performing rights agreement you need to contact and discuss it with the appropriate agents.
